Currently the division of Biosystem Engineering at the Humboldt University in Berlin applies e!Sankey pro for the visualization of energy and mass flows within a research project, in which a greenhouse simultaneously acts as a production facility for plants and thermal solar collector with integrated cooling system and heat storage. The energy and heat flow diagrams created supports the scientists to identify inefficiencies and saving potentials.

At the interface of engineering and biological production processes the team of the division of Biosystem Engineering develops solutions for a sustainable production of agricultural products and technologies for a save and clean evironment. In research and development innovations are generated in plant production in greenhouses, outdoor and other intensive plant production systems.

"I particularly like the live link to excel version. Once established, the links work instantly. So all the inputs can be by someone who has no software knowledge of e!Sankey.

The way I see this being used in organizations, is to have one person generate these diagrams and everyone else feed this person with the data from different energy models."
